How is the marvellously tasty goat's cheese made? Visit the mountain cheese dairy La Balisa and experience an interesting and instructive excursion. Additionally you can of course also taste various delicious cheeses!
The mountain pasture La Balisa lies 4639 feet alt and constitutes the watershed on the pass from Schwarzsee to Charmey.
25 to 30 cows contribute to the making of mountain cheese and other dairy products. The tenants process the milk carefully in their contemporary, new cheese dairy and produce fine mountain goods. Four to six mountain cheese loaves are made every day.

In the café an enthusiastic team caters for you; tired hikers can stay overnight in the dormitory.
On request the mountain cheese diary can be visited. A visit to the cheese dairy can be conveniently combined with a pleasant hike.
