Some rules of conduct must be followed when encountering livestock guardian dogs.

These will help you to avoid unpleasant encounters and make it easier for the dogs to protect their herd.

Current message: Markus Nyffeler's flock of sheep has moved into the valley. Means, the Prealps from Märe, via Kaiseregg to Roten Kasten are again free of livestock guardian dogs.

From 1 to 15 October 2018, the alps Aettenberg and Schwendli will be carrying out a readiness test for guard dogs. According to Information François Meyer, Specialist Centre for Herd Protection Dogs, AGRIDEA, these are young dogs that do not pose any danger to humans, but can nevertheless be impressive.
